This auction is for a '74-'76 (so I've been told by our local Gibson dealer) Gibson SG Standard in cherry finish with case.  Overall the guitar is in very good condition for its age.  There are some nicks and scratches, but nothing that indicates it was abused.  It has not been broken and shows no sign of ever being repaired...which is somewhat rare for one of these early 1 9/16" nut width SGs.  It appears to be all original, but I cannot confirm that.  I just don't know enough about this old Gibson stuff.  If you have any questions, feel free to ask.  The guitar plays and sounds great.  The electronics are fine.  Some of the frets show some signs of wear, but nothing severe...not worn enough to have been noticeable when I played it.  The guitar has some finish "checking" on the neck and body, which some people love and some people hate.  It does add some vintage vibe to the appearance of the guitar.  Included in the auction is a case which I believe to be original to the guitar.  The case has scuffs and dings but is not really that bad, considering it's age.  Again, this guitar has been played over the course of it's life.  It is not a "closet queen."  But, I feel the guitar is in very good condition for it's age.  In fact, if this guitar had a walnut finish (which I really prefer) I would NOT be selling it, as I am very happy with the condition, playability, and sound of this guitar.
