The Epiphone Prophecy Collection, created by popular demand for serious shredding and killer appearance, proudly presents the SG Custom EX. This carved SG Mahogany body gives you access to all 24-frets with a super-fast SlimTaper™ set, Mahogany neck with full binding and luxrious, Ebony Fingerboard featuring jumbo fretwires and exclusive "blade" inlay. It is made for Metal with active EMG 81 & 85 Humbucker pickups, for unearthly tone and has looks to match with quilted Maple top under a translucent Midnight Ebony finish. Hardware includes blacked-out Epiphone strap locks, uber-accurate Grover machine heads and the sustain-fortifying Epiphone LocTone locking Tune-o-matic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece and attractive Pearl control knobs.

This guitar is in GREAT shape. Very Minor scratches on the back (I couldn't even get them to show up in a closeup photo). Strings may need replacing, depending upon the type you like.

We buy all of our guitars from a factory authorized refurbishing center, so they are stamped on the headstock as either a "2nd" or “Used”. (See photos). Most guitars have a cosmetic blemish, which 99% of the time I cant find!

They are usually stamped used or 2ND to void the original warranty and protect the refurbishing centers contractual obligations with the manufacturers. This is the industry standard on all refurbished items.

All our stringed instruments are checked over by professional Luthiers. Every guitar must pass five quality inspections before we ship it to you.

ALL the guitars we sell are well packed in the original factory box, with added packing material supporting the neck, strings are detuned to relieve tension on the neck and then the triangular factory box is shipped inside another 275# crush proof box at our cost!
