Vintage 1974 Gibson SG Project Guitar

Offered for auction is a Vintage 1974 Gibson SG Project Guitar. This auction is for the neck and body only. The neck is straight and the truss rod works. Stamped into the back of the headstock are serial number "397861" and "MADE IN USA". The guitar weighs 4 pounds 11 ounces. 

As the photos show, there is a repaired headstock crack. The repair is solid and the guitar stayed in tune with good action. Fingerboard width at the nut is 1 9/16 inches making this a slim neck. The frets are in good shape with plenty of life remaining. There are no extra routes or body cracks. The original finish is in good shape with typical wear and some buckle rash on the back.The body to neck joint is solid. Mount your own choice of parts and build a killer vintage SG.
