Here is a 1974 Gibson SG guitar with BLOCK INLAYS and an
EBONY Fret Board. The guitar is from the original owner. No issues with the neck
or headstock. There are plenty of pics for this auction, so please ask any
questions before bidding. The guitar is mostly original, with the pots
being replaced in the early 1980's when the owner had installed a Di Marzio
Super Distortion pick up and all Di Marzio pots. The Di Marzio pots are
still in it. The original Gibson pick ups are in place, and the original CTS pots
are included
. All the CTS pots are coded
137-7401. (First week of January 1974.) The Speed Knobs, Pick Guard, etc
 are original. The guitar is by no means a museum piece, but has
been cared for over the years. It has its share of dings and dangs, and some of
the chrome is pitted, especially on the tail piece and not as much on the
bridge. Original Gibson tuners, probably made by Schaller, and work very well.
Frets (Jumbo) are in good shape for its age and they do show some wear as
to be expected on a guitar of this age. The padded Gibson Original Hard Shell
Case is included. The case is in average shape for its age, with some rips and
tears in the Tolex. The handle snapped of years ago and has some clothes line
cord in its place.
