Up for sale is a 1978 Gibson SG in excellent condition for its age. I hate to part with this guitar as it both plays and sounds beautiful, but I also haven't played it in well over a year. So, it is time for some one else to enjoy playing and owning this guitar.
Down to the details, I recently took this guitar into a local store to have it looked at so I will quote what I was told by them. The quitar is all original except for the tuning pegs and bridge. However, the bridge was replaced with a vintage bridge from the same time frame as the guitar. Note that pickups are ORIGINAL and sound absolutely amazing (no noise when plugged into the amp unlike my newer Fender strat). As can be seen from the pictures, there is cosmetic wear to the guitar including a ding in the neck. It is worth noting that this ding is only in the paint and DOES NOT affect playability.
From the serial number, this guitar was produced March 27, 1978 in the Kalamazoo, Mi plant and was the 43rd unit of the run.
Oddly enough, I am currently living in Kalamazoo, MI and would be willing to meet with any bidders who would like to look at the guitar in person. Buyer will pay actual shipping from Kalamazoo.
