This is a handcrafted authorized copy made by Gibson in Epiphone's China Factory, its serial number is 0805181342, made in 2008.

Making authorized import versions of Gibson's classic designs, Epiphone is a subsidiary of Gibson and produces modestly priced versions of their (Gibson's) most famous guitars.  Epiphone manufactures the SG Special and other models at lower costs in Asia.  The Epiphone SG Special features all of the classic features of an SG visually and ergonomically, in this solid classic featuring SG design and tone. 

This is a great starter or intermediate guitar, and is a fantastic sounding and versatile guitar with raunchy humbuckers and tremendous sustain!!

Condition: 

This is a used guitar in excellent "Minty" condition, only the backplate shows some marks but those are on the top of its original plastic sheet cover and the marks appear to not have worn through to the cover below.  Otherwise, in unmarked condition, no fretwear, neck is straight and fast - this "like-new" SG Special is a great player that produces massive power, maximum sustain, and tone.
