Original 1965 Gibson SG Junior Polaris White No Reserve

This is an auction for a 1965 original Gibson SG Junior in Polaris White with Maestro trem which as far as I can tell is nearly 100% original and has the original finish.

I have looked over this guitar closely both visually and with a UV black light and I am in agreement with the dealer I bought it from, that is is the original finish and has no breaks or repairs. The only issue I can see is at one stage different tuners were on there but old Kluson's are back on there now and you can only tell others had been on there if you look close.

It is not in immaculate condition by any means... please have a look at the pictures and you can see it has nicks, dings, finish checking and scratches all over it, including some fine scratches in places on the back (see photos). The pickguard is warped and has the very tip broken off and it just looks, well... for want of a better word - dirty!

All electronics are original and look like undisturbed solder joints. The P-90 screams and is nice and hot and it plays really well even though the frets have got a fair bit of wear around the lower positions. Serial number is 551864 and both pots date to 1965.

Guitar has a lot of character and is not perfect condition by any means so it is not going to be a $6k investment but is still an original Polaris White and plays and sounds very nice.

This is a no reserve auction and the highest bid takes it. Inspection is welcome before the auction finishes, guitar is situated somewhere near Hull.

UK price for these are over £loads each so  therefore at 1p and NO RESERVE it may be a good bargain...
