all original late 1966 Gibson SG Special in Polaris white.
This is the late
1966 model that introduced the large batwing pickguard
that became standard
issue on this and the upper end SGs for a number of years.
This is a very clean
vintage guitar with only slight player wear.
It has P-90 pickups, a short vibrola
and includes the original soft shell case with a red plush interior.
According to Tom Wheeler’s
American Guitars there were only 29
of these SG Specials in white that were
shipped in 1966.
