Gibson SG Guitars

This is a vintage 1961 Gibson SG Special that is in great playing condition. All electronics work and it sounds great. The neck is straight and there are no headstock or tenon breaks or repairs. There is a surface fracture on the lower bout by the input jack, but it does not go through the body as can be seen in the pictures. It has faded over the years, but you can see the original color under the bridge. A couple of the tuner shafts are bent as pictured, but still work. One of the screw holes that holds the pickup down in the bridge position pickup cavity is stripped, but could be filled and screwed back in or a longer screw could be used. The frets were dressed several years ago, but the guitar has had little play time since then and have plenty of life left. There are plenty of dings and scratches, but it's still a very solid guitar. The pot date codes are 1346043 indicating that they were made by Centralab in the 43rd week of 1960. The input jack is made by Switchcraft. The tuners are Kluson single line with plastic buttons.
