Gibson SG Guitars

This is a 1971-72 Gibson SG 200. I bought as a 72 SG 200 but haven't ran the serial number, 614771. This IS a players guitar. The action is low and fast. It has been set up the way it should be, all the electronics work, the frets are good, they neck is straight and true. This guitar appears to be 100% original. Nothing appears to have been changed or modified. It kills me to let this go but a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. The down side to this is just cosmetics. The finish is checkered from natural aging and there are a lot of knicks, dings and blemishes on the surface. There is a scratch on the neck that almost looks like a crack but it is only a surface scratch on the finish. There is another noteworthy small chip to the finish on the neck which I have included in my pictures. The pick guard is scratched up and the top two tuning pegs seem a little bent probably from falling over. Nothing I have described affects the playability of this guitar. It has a sweet, classic tone only Gibson single coil pickups can produce. They should have stayed with these for while. This stays in tune and has great intonation. I don't know what more I can say other than someone out there is going to get one of the best early 70's SG's ever made. It comes with a padded Gibson soft case.
