Gibson SG Guitars

Hi Everyone,

Rob here....I'm listing another guitar from my collection...this is a Gibson SG New Century. This is a cool guitar that came out for a very limited time. The front of the SG is basically a mirror...it's recessed into the body, so you don't feel the edges when playing...really cool. I call it my John Sykes SG. The neck is pretty thick and finish is very smooth...actually feels a lot like my 2003 PRS Tremonti...glossy. The fretboard is ebony as well with mirror dots. The mirrored front still has the protective plastic on it...I took a picture where I cut away some of the protective plastic that was peeling...you can finish peeling the protective plastic off when you get it and it should be perfectly shiney underneath. The only thing really worth mentioning is that along the edge of the neck, Gibson applied a clear finish over the fret ends and markers (like PRS)...you can see it gets kinda screwy looking at some places...popping off at some of the frets...you barely feel it and it's not really noticeable while playing. I thought about sanding down the edge just for the heck of it or even sanding down the finish on the neck to a raw neck finish (that would be cool !) but then I decided to sell it (got lazy), so that didn't happen. There may be a few other little marks here and there as well.

So if you are looking for a guitar with cool factor and want to blind everyone in the audience (or check out your hair), this will do it. I'll be shipping the SG with a Gibson Gig Bag...actually pretty nice bag...but then again...it is a bag. I will be shipping Fedex Ground in the USA only.
