HI, Up for auction is a Gibson (not Epiphone) SG Standard in Gloss black finish-Neat Used condition- Looks amazing- Plays beautifully as with all GibsonSG Standards, great action-There is some checking of the paint on the front and back of the guitar (NO Cracks in the guitar) which is only noticeable up close, personally I love the look of the checking (not peeling or flaking ) as it has a nice relic'd look and feel that is smooth - A small chip on the top of the headstock.- Head of screw for the top guitar strap pin has come off and will need to be replaced (easy job just need a pair of pliers and a new screw) - Comes with Gibson hard shell case- Original tag- New tuners which really compliment this guitar - Gibson guitar strap- From a smoke and pet free home- Insured shipping- No one likes surprises when buying off ebay, everything is in the description and pictures, bid with confidence and questions are always welcome- Good luck and happy bidding
Originally introduced as the evolution of Les Paul's iconic solidbody, the SG was a little too radical to be accepted as a replacement in its day. But it was kept in the range and grew in popularity as a rock-solid tool in its own right.
-
The 2005 SG Standard features a mahogany body, glued to a 24.75" scale mahogany neck at the 19th fret. It has a bound fingerboard in either rosewood or ebony, with trapezoid fret markers.
Hardware
-
Gibson's proprietary "Tune-O-Matic" bridge and stop tailpiece secure the strings at the body, while at the headstock, this is handled by the Grover tuners. These two pieces of hardware have adorned the vast majority of Gibson's electric guitars throughout their history.
Electronics
-
A pair of Gibson's own PAF humbucking double coil pickups are present, along with their classic wiring and control setup: two volume and two tone controls, governed by a three-way selector switch.
