A true ICON in the history of rock guitars dating back to 1961 when the first SG replaced the discontinued Les Paul for GIBSON. As we all know, the Les Paul came back in 1968..........and the SG Standard has been with us now for 50 years!!!                         From Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath) to Angus Young (ACDC), from Carlos Santana to Daron Malakian (System of a Down),  from Eric Clapton (Cream) to Derek Trucks (Allman Bros.),  from Robby Kreiger (The Doors) to Thom Yorke (Radiohead), and from Pete Townshend (The Who)  to  Elliot Easton (The Cars)..................you can see the vast number of styles covered by this great rock & roll guitar.

1. Without question.......the SG is the most comfortable of all GIBSON guitars to play.  It is light (under 7 lbs) and seems to contour to your body perfectly.

Condition: This SG Standard is an awesome axe! It is set up very well and playing great. The neck is straight, the action is low and the frets are in good shape. The pickups work well and this guitar rocks! It has been used but was well taken care of.   There is one pictured ding on the top of the guitar as well as some normal, light pick marks on it from being played, but nothing major..      

                                                                 Overall, this SG Standard is in excellent condition.................AND IS READY TO ROCK!
