1991 Gibson SG

Following the rule that things run in bunches, we've got yet another custom color Gibson! This time it's a '91 SG Standard in a very cool candy apple red metallic. There is perhaps no cooler six string out there. It's the guitar that really comes through on every front. There's a reason the formula really hasn't changed in 50 years. Mahogany body, set in mahogany neck, twin humbucking pickups... if it ain't broke, don't fix it. The SG's light and thin contoured body also make it a joy to play in any situation.

Details

Cosmetic Condition:

Good to Very Good. There are small nicks and scratches throughout the guitar. There are also a few small paint chips and a few larger marks as can be seen in the photos. No big dents or like damage. The neck pickup cover has an indentation in the top.

Repairs & Mods:

The guitar is structurally sound with no cracks, breaks or repairs. One volume pot has been swapped out for a newer one and the strap buttons appear to have been changed. All else is original.

Feel & Playability:

Plays great! The frets are original and show an average amount of wear but the guitar plays without issue. They are modern jumbo size so they're plenty tall in case you need to level them years from now. The neck is straight and medium in profile, seems slightly larger than today's so called "60s" neck shape. A really fine instrument to add to your arsenal with sustain and resonance to satisfy all.
